The original supersonic transport, the Concorde was the first to take regular people (well, rich regular people) to speeds faster than the speed of sound. The plane's life was cut after the Air France 4590 incident, as maintenance and operational costs proved too much to keep it alive. It's now questionable as to when we'll see the next SST, so in the meantime, its legend will live on.
