The P-3 Orion is the original submarine hunter. Its iconic boom on the back of the aircraft senses magnetic anomalies to hunt enemy subs. While this plane is old, it is actually still in service with a few different navies, including the US. Ultimately, it's being succeeded by the P-8A, which is a 737-based hunter. For now though we've tried to capture the top-down silhouette of this essential piece of the US forces.
